I have written, and re-written this post. I've found myself coming back to it several times and editing it only because so much time has past since I've last updated everyone. As I come on here and edit this post, I'm deleting the phrases like, "Caroline is now 2 weeks old" and "Caroline is now 3 1/2 weeks old" and "Caroline is now 4 weeks old", etc....you get the point. I've decided to post already so...here goes...for the last time..."Caroline is now 6 weeks old!". We've really adjusted to a life of four in our family and couldn't be happier. Caroline has more and more awake moments and we relish her little smiles she throws our way and her sweet "coo's".

Hans has really taken to his little sister.

From the moment he saw her in the hospital it was like he knew this was his special little sister. Even today, 6 weeks later, he is still taken with her. He literally beams when she's around him and loves playing with her hands and feet and giving her kisses.

He reaches for her and says "hold her". I love seeing my babies love on each other!

He loves to climb into her crib and relax with her. We're all on to his secret though, because we really know that he just loves his old aquarium and likes showing off on the fact that he knows how to push all of the right buttons, etc. It's ok Caroline, you'll catch on!

10 Minutes to a room you'll love

I'm wondering what my husband will think when he asks me "What did you do today?" and my answer won't involve shopping! Wait, I take that back, it DID involve shopping....shopping from my house (Nester Style)! The Nesting Place has been having a series on how to re-vamp rooms in your house in just 10 minutes. She encourages you to find things around your room and just add some changes here and there. I was inspired and decided to rise and shine early Saturday morning (with the help of some snow blowers outside) and apply these strategies to our ever so desperate bedroom.  I have really neglected decorating our bedroom until about 10 minutes ago so please don't judge the before pictures!  Keep in mind that I'm NOT finished yet and I may just end up going shopping OUTSIDE of the house for a few things. However, this 10 minute make-over has made our room just a bit more cozy!! Step 1 : Make the Bed  *Before* *After* Step 2: Personalize it.  Create a tables

We had the big 20 week ultrasound today and decided to invite the family over that evening for a gender reveal! Tom and I found out during the ultrasound and kept it a secret (which was super hard to do, even for a few hours!) until we had our family over. We found this really cute idea on how to "reveal" your babies gender from our friends here . We made cupcakes And inside of the cupcakes we filled it with colored frosting (pink for a girl, blue for a boy...not telling yet, wait for it....) Hans was so excited for everyone to get there (see? it was even hard for Hans to keep the secret!). He ran and got daddy's shoes and was putting them on by the door. Everyone chose a plate and a cupcake and we went into the living room to bite into it together... And...... IT'S A GIRL!!!!! Hans is already learning how to blame things on his little sister...tsk tsk. Hans, we totally saw you eat the cupcake, silly! We missed a lot of family members that really wanted to be the

I did it!

Last night, we whipped up this shirt for Hans from an old t-shirt of Tom's that was in a rag pile. We used this tutorial from the blog I mentioned a few days ago, MADE . Even though it was my first time making a clothing item (I made a little jewelry bag a few weeks ago to re-fresh my sewing skills) post high school home ec, I'm super happy with how it turned out. The tutorial is referred to the "90 minute shirt" but it took a little longer with that. =-) I'm completely inspired to make more cute things for my lil guy!!
