Rub a Dub Tub...

We had a little fun simulating a good old fashioned bath....in an old galvanized washtub no less! I've literally scoured the internet, antique shops, garage sales, and thrift stores trying to find one of these for a reasonable price. I have visions of using this thing for all sorts of things....from photo op's with Hans (and future children), to tie dying shirts (do people still do that?!), washing the family dog (if we ever decide to own one...), and finally I wanted to use it to put my Christmas tree in this year....only to realize our beautiful tree stand for our Fraiser Fur doesn't fit in the wash tub....I said I had visions people, this doesn't always make it reality!!!

10 Minutes to a room you'll love

I'm wondering what my husband will think when he asks me "What did you do today?" and my answer won't involve shopping! Wait, I take that back, it DID involve shopping....shopping from my house (Nester Style)! The Nesting Place has been having a series on how to re-vamp rooms in your house in just 10 minutes. I was inspired and decided to rise and shine early Saturday morning (with the help of some snow blowers outside) and apply these strategies to our ever so desperate bedroom.  I have really neglected decorating our bedroom until about 10 minutes ago so please don't judge the before pictures!  Keep in mind that I'm NOT finished yet and I may just end up going shopping OUTSIDE of the house for a few things. However, this 10 minute make-over has made our room just a bit more cozy!! Step 1 : Make the Bed  *Before* *After* Step 2: Personalize it.  Create a tables...

Dinner from the Garden

Lately...

Hans is 4 months old today! I haven't yet taken his "official" 4 month photo's but I still wanted to share a couple of pictures I took this week. Hans loves to sit in his high chair now. He likes to play with some toys on there but mainly he just loves to gnaw on the table... Hans can now roll over from tummy to back and from back to tummy. He does it ALL of the time. Here he is after rolling onto his tummy. Such a cutie! I will be sure to post his 4 month pictures soon, along with his 4 month "update".
