We had a wonderful time this past weekend as we dedicated Hans at our church. We chose to dedicate Hans at our church so we could publicly declare our intention of raising Hans in a christian home and that we will do our best to show and teach Hans the love of our Lord so that he will one day choose to follow Him. We are so thankful for our friends and family and church family that have made this commitment with us. We know that Hans has a lot of people that love him and pray for him every day!
This is the photo we used during the service and the verse we chose for Hans was Ephesians 1:17-18
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, May give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints"
This verse is so powerful to me. We pray many different things for Hans but first and foremost we ask the Lord that Hans will one day know Him and walk with Him. This verse explains it all!
Tom and I were pretty rushed as we were heading out the door and of all things, I forgot my camera! I'm hoping some friends and family got some good shots so, for now, I'm only sharing pictures of after the ceremony!
Before we get to that, I need to share some seriously adorable pictures. Tom watched Hans the other day and when I came home, I saw them playing in the backyard wearing matching outfits! As you can probably guess, those boys had some fun together!
On to the dedication day...
We had family over for lunch, chatting, and lounging....it's what I call a perfect day!
The table
I'm in a bit of an apple kick lately (but who isn't in the month of September?) I need to clarify that I did not make this particular pie, but I have been baking apple pies lately....just not sure they have turned out this delicious looking...
Little cousins hanging out.
Hans opening gifts and cards. Thank you to everyone for your wonderful gifts and love!
Getting some love from his Auntie Krystal and GG
Ellie and Hans "smile pretty"
Gathering the kiddos to leave.
Father Daughter
Thank you so much for everyone who had a part of this great day!

Thank you both...for your love for the Lord and for your dedication to raise this precious child to know Him and to pray for him..so that one day he may give his heart to Christ!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the lunch too. Everything was perfect! Even that adorable family picture of the three of you. Looks like you hired a professional photographer or something to take that last pic!
