Blossom Tree

I love this time of year when my neighbor's tree starts to bloom.  I would love to have this tree in our front yard.  At about this same time last year, Handsome and I made a trek out to one of our favorite places in the whole wide world to see one of our favorite people in the whole wide world...my grandma.  Trips to grandma's house are always special-filled with great chats, lots of laughs, and lots of scrabble!  On this particular visit, we had a mission- we were looking for some trees to take from her land to put in our ever-so-desperate yard.  We managed a four hour car ride home with seven trees stuffed into a toyota camry! {and yes, I said seven} Sadly, only three of the trees are thriving today..sniff sniff.  Next visit, I want to keep my eye out for a beautiful blossom tree!

Our tree is blooming too!!! {I think I can, I think I can...}

10 Minutes to a room you'll love

I'm wondering what my husband will think when he asks me "What did you do today?" and my answer won't involve shopping! Wait, I take that back, it DID involve shopping....shopping from my house (Nester Style)! The Nesting Place has been having a series on how to re-vamp rooms in your house in just 10 minutes. She encourages you to find things around your room and just add some changes here and there. I was inspired and decided to rise and shine early Saturday morning (with the help of some snow blowers outside) and apply these strategies to our ever so desperate bedroom.  I have really neglected decorating our bedroom until about 10 minutes ago so please don't judge the before pictures!  Keep in mind that I'm NOT finished yet and I may just end up going shopping OUTSIDE of the house for a few things. However, this 10 minute make-over has made our room just a bit more cozy!! Step 1 : Make the Bed  *Before* *After* Step 2: Personalize it.  Create a tables...

Lately...

Hans is 4 months old today! I haven't yet taken his "official" 4 month photo's but I still wanted to share a couple of pictures I took this week. Hans loves to sit in his high chair now. He likes to play with some toys on there but mainly he just loves to gnaw on the table... Hans can now roll over from tummy to back and from back to tummy. He does it ALL of the time. Here he is after rolling onto his tummy. Such a cutie! I will be sure to post his 4 month pictures soon, along with his 4 month "update".
