Here are some photo's I took of Hans over the Fourth of July this year. It's amazing how it was not even a whole month ago and I already feel like Hans looks a little different now than he does in these pictures. Also note, that I took these pictures myself and Hans couldn't quite sit up by himself yet, so I had to get a little creative! The black and white pics were taken with me laying down on my back and having Hans propped between my knees! And then the colored pictures were taken with me really close by and Hans sitting up for approximately 3.5 seconds before slowly slouching to the left. =-)

It's amazing how much can be told in a pair of shoes. After Tom proposed to me, he went to work a golf tournament in Boston. He came back with these shoes, for our baby some day. We kept them safely tucked away until that special time came. Then one day, I found out that I was pregnant with our little baby! I dug out these little shoes and put them in a little gift bag on Tom's pillow. He came home to find this amazing surprise! We cried, laughed, prayed, and hugged. We were so thrilled that we were going to be parents! We had one and a half years of marriage and the pregnancy was a complete surprise but we were so ready and excited to welcome this little baby into our lives. 9 weeks later, we found out we lost that precious little baby. It was very traumatic, it was very sad, but we had to cling to the fact that this was all in God's perfect plan. For some reason, he wanted to take that little one home to Him early. Just a little reminiscing over here. I love looking back at Hans' old photos to compare with his current pics. So cute to see how he has grown! Of course, it's sad to think how fast it's all going but we're just relishing every single moment of him! This photo was taken at just a couple weeks old... This photo was taken today, at 6 months! Such a big little guy!

I entered Hans and his super cute and funny picture in a photo contest for Parents magazine. Now, his picture is in the Photo Faves gallery and if he gets the most votes this week, he wins! Fun stuff, huh?! It's not for the money, it's just something fun that we can chalk up in the ole baby book! Vote for Hans here !!!

Did I say the pictures in the previous post were showing off Hans and his new expressions? Boy, was a I wrong! I have the feeling this is just the beginning of this little boy's crazy antics. Despite what you might think while looking at the last picture, Hans IS a happy boy!!!

At 5 1/2 months, Hans is full on silliness. Recently, this silliness has been coming out in his facial expressions. This little guy had us rolling with laughter at his most recent expressions. Here are a few he has been practicing. While making these faces {and many others} he also enjoys practicing his sounds. Today I heard him make kissing noises...so cute! .
